Patriot Brief
What Happened: Barron Trump called emergency services after receiving a FaceTime call from a friend being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend in London.
Why It Matters: The incident highlights fast action that helped police respond to a violent domestic assault.
Bottom Line: Barron Trump’s decision to call for help may have saved her life.
Barron Trump stepped up when it mattered most, and no amount of media sneering can erase that. According to court testimony in London, the youngest son of President Donald Trump acted quickly after receiving a FaceTime call from a woman who said she was being brutally beaten by her ex-boyfriend.
The attack allegedly happened last January in London. The victim told the court her ex, Matvei Rumiantsev, flew into a jealous rage over her friendship with Barron Trump. Instead of freezing or trying to play tough guy, Barron did the smartest thing possible.
Barron called emergency services immediately. The audio of that call was played in court. “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up,” Barron told the dispatcher. He then calmly gave her address so police could respond.
Officers arrived at the scene and body camera footage captured one officer suggesting the caller was likely Donald Trump’s son. Police later contacted Barron to confirm the call. Barron explained he had met the woman on social media and that she was crying and “getting really badly beat up” for about 10 to 15 seconds.
Barron told police he believed calling authorities “was the best thing I could do.” He also said he chose not to call back and confront the attacker, believing it would only make things worse.
From my point of view, this is what chilvary looks like. No theatrics. No ego. Just fast action. In a world drowning in excuses, Barron Trump chose to protect life. He is truly a hero.
