Patriot Brief

  • What Happened: House Republicans passed three Democrat backed bills totaling more than $1 billion in new spending, much of it directed overseas.

  • Why It Matters: The votes highlight a growing divide inside the GOP between America First conservatives and establishment Republicans willing to fund foreign priorities.

  • Bottom Line: Rep. Tim Burchett was among a small group who voted no, fueling renewed calls for primary challenges.

Republicans campaigned on stopping the madness. Then they turned around and voted for it.

The Republican majority crossed lines to pass three Democrat bills authorizing more than one billion dollars in new spending, most of it headed to foreign countries while Americans are drowning in inflation, debt, and higher taxes. If voters are feeling whiplash, they should.

Only about twenty Republicans had the backbone to vote no on all three bills. One of them was Rep. Tim Burchett, who once again proved he is willing to stand alone rather than sell out his constituents.

This is exactly why grassroots conservatives are fed up. We did not send Republicans to Washington to rubber stamp Democrat priorities. We sent them there to put America first, secure the border, stop reckless spending, and defend working families.

Instead, the same tired pattern plays out. Democrats propose massive spending. Establishment Republicans cave. Taxpayers pay the price.

Meanwhile, Americans are told there is no money to fix our cities, no money to secure our border, no money to help families crushed by Biden era policies. Somehow there is always money for foreign countries.

If Republicans want to keep their seats, they better remember who put them there. And if they do not, primaries are coming.

The party does not need better messaging. It needs a purge. DRAIN THE SWAMP!
