House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer is not hiding his frustration, and neither are millions of Americans watching the clock run out on accountability.

Comer said criminal referrals sent by his committee are “collecting dust” on the desk of Attorney General Pam Bondi, despite what he described as serious allegations that demand action.

“I’m hopeful that we’ll see some action soon on the criminal referrals that range everywhere from Dr. Fauci to the Biden family influence peddling scheme,” Comer said.

That is not a small list. Comer’s committee has spent years uncovering evidence tied to COVID era decision making, government overreach, and what Republicans describe as a web of foreign money flowing through the Biden family. Yet according to Comer, none of it appears to be moving forward at the Justice Department.

For conservatives, the pattern feels painfully familiar. Investigations stall. Referrals disappear. Powerful people walk free while everyday Americans face the full weight of the law for far less.

Comer’s mention of Anthony Fauci is especially notable. Fauci became the face of government authority during the pandemic, issuing sweeping guidance that shut down churches, businesses, and schools. Critics argue those decisions deserve serious legal scrutiny, not bureaucratic silence.

Accountability is not vengeance. It is righteousness.

Comer made clear he is still hopeful action will come, but patience is wearing thin. When criminal referrals sit untouched, it sends a dangerous message that there are two systems of justice in America.

The question now is simple. Will the Department of Justice finally act, or will these referrals keep gathering dust while the American people are told to move on.
