Remnant Recap
What Happened: Riley Gaines said she wrapped her three-month-old baby in a bulletproof blanket due to threats received while advocating for fairness in women’s sports near the Supreme Court.
Why It Matters: The threats coincided with Supreme Court arguments over laws protecting women’s sports from male participation.
Bottom Line: Gaines says standing up for women’s sports has drawn violent intimidation from the left.
This is where we are in America right now.
Riley Gaines, a former collegiate swimmer and outspoken advocate for women’s sports, says she had to wrap her three-month-old baby in a bulletproof blanket because of threats made against her and other women rallying at the Supreme Court.
“You have a three month-old baby that you have to wrap in a bulletproof blanket because of the threats that were present there yesterday,” Gaines told Fox News on Wednesday.
Let that sink in.
This week, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two cases, Little v. Hecox and West Virginia v. B.P.J., which challenge state laws designed to keep biological males out of female sports. Gaines joined dozens of current and former female athletes in filing a brief explaining how policies allowing men to compete against women have harmed them and stripped away privacy, safety, and fairness.
According to the brief, male participation in women’s sports has led to women losing podium spots, scholarships, and private locker room spaces. These athletes told the justices that the rules imposed by college sports governing bodies are discriminatory and system wide.
Instead of engaging the argument, the radical left responded with threats.
“All these insane Democrats,” Gaines said, “they think they’re giving the middle finger to President Trump. That’s not who they’re giving the middle finger to. They’re giving the middle finger to my little baby girl.”
That statement says everything.
This is not about sports anymore. It is about intimidation. It is about silencing women who refuse to deny biological reality. And it is about a movement so unhinged that it thinks threatening mothers and infants is acceptable politics.
Gaines described her rally as pro woman, pro reality, pro science, pro fairness, pro truth, and pro safety. The fact that those positions now require bulletproof protection should alarm every American.
This is what happens when ideology replaces truth and lawlessness replaces reason. And it is exactly why Americans are pushing back harder than ever.
