President Donald Trump weighed in forcefully after reviewing footage from the deadly Minneapolis confrontation involving a federal immigration officer and a woman who allegedly used her vehicle as a weapon.

“I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch,” Trump wrote in a post reacting to the video. He described one woman at the scene as “obviously, a professional agitator,” while calling the driver “very disorderly, obstructing and resisting.”

According to Trump, the situation escalated rapidly and violently. The woman driving the car “then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer,” Trump said, adding that the agent “seems to have shot her in self defense.”

“Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital,” Trump wrote, referring to the ICE officer involved in the incident.

While noting that the case is under review, Trump made clear where he believes responsibility lies. “The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis,” he said.

Trump emphasized that ICE agents are enforcing the law, not engaging in politics. “They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE,” he wrote.

He closed with a call to stand behind law enforcement, warning that political incitement has real consequences. “We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!”

The message was unmistakable. When mobs turn protests into weapons and officers are nearly killed, self defense is not controversial. It is necessary. And the blame, Trump says, belongs with those who cheer chaos while attacking the people tasked with keeping the country safe.
