Press Secretary Karoline Claire Leavitt said newly declassified intelligence documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard fully vindicate President Trump and his family. According to Leavitt, the documents show that senior officials in the Obama administration knowingly pushed a false Russia collusion narrative to undermine Trump’s presidency.
“Now, nearly ten years later, thanks to the declassification of documents by the Director of National Intelligence, the truth has finally come to light—and it vindicates President Trump and his family,” Leavitt said.
Leavitt accused former President Barack Obama of acting behind the scenes to sabotage Trump while publicly claiming to support a peaceful transfer of power. “While pretending to engage in a peaceful transfer of power, in private Barack Hussein Obama went to great and nefarious lengths to sow discord among the public and sabotage his successor,” she said.
According to the White House, the documents confirm that intelligence was “manufactured and politicized” to justify what Leavitt described as “baseless smears” against Trump. “The truth is that President Trump never had anything to do with Russia, and the Russia-collusion hoax was a massive fraud perpetrated on the American people from the very beginning,” she added.
Leavitt named several former officials she said were involved, including former CIA Director John Brennan, former DNI James Clapper, former FBI Director James Comey, and others tied to the investigation and its fallout.
The administration emphasized that these revelations are especially significant because they were released by Gabbard, a former Democrat. Officials say this is only the beginning, with more disclosures expected.
