  • What Happened: A woman was arrested in Florida after allegedly punching a state trooper working with ICE and resisting arrest.

  • Why It Matters: State leaders say the incident shows Florida will not tolerate violence against law enforcement during immigration operations.

  • Bottom Line: Authorities charged the suspect with multiple felonies and made clear that anti-ICE chaos will not be indulged.

Florida just reminded the country how law and order is supposed to work.

An anti-ICE agitator named Jennifer Cruz allegedly punched a Florida state trooper in the face during an immigration operation and immediately found out that Florida is not interested in activist tantrums. Video from the arrest shows Cruz being slammed onto the hood of a patrol car, shoved into custody, and tased after resisting.

The incident happened outside a Mexican grocery store, where Cruz allegedly got out of her car and attacked a trooper assisting ICE. Authorities say the trooper was simply doing his job enforcing federal law when Cruz decided to turn protest into violence.

WATCH:

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier did not mince words.

“Jennifer disagrees with immigration enforcement and decided to commit a few felonies by getting out of her car and punching a trooper in the face,” Uthmeier said.

Cruz was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting officers with violence, and threatening harm to officers. These are not symbolic charges. These are serious felonies with real consequences.

Governor Ron DeSantis summed it up with a line that is now making the rounds online.

“This is not Minneapolis,” DeSantis said.

And he is right. In Florida, attacking law enforcement is not treated as activism. It is treated as crime. There are no press conferences excusing the behavior. No officials blaming the badge. No prosecutors looking the other way.

This is what accountability looks like. Disagree all you want. Protest peacefully if you must. But the moment you put hands on a cop, Florida will put you on the pavement.

For Americans watching the chaos unfold elsewhere, the contrast could not be clearer. One state enforces the law. The other excuses lawlessness.

Florida chose order.
